Boundary MLT: a different flavor of gravel!

For some, gravel riding gets a little more rugged. The climbs a bit more punchy. The descents, a bit steeper, the fire road a bit looser and more rugged. For those riders, we offer a twist on the ideal gravel platform: the Boundary MLT.

Comprised of the rugged carbon Boundary frameset that has become our mainstay gravel bike—one poised for everything from relaxed exploration to aggressive race day—we’ve added some great features that make the Boundary MLT even more capable when the gravel gets truly rough. From bigger, beefier 700x45mm or 650Bx53mm tires, to the introduction of a KS Lev SI dropper post providing 65mm of clearance while descending—operated from the Shimano STI left shifter—the riding gets even rowdier—and more confident.

We’ve also added a wider flared bar and paired it with a shorter stem to give you all the control you need, no matter how rugged the trail gets. Finished off with Shimano’s work horse GRX 810 1X gravel components.

This Bike Is For You If...

The trails are less groomed, the climbs punchier, the descents steeper. With bigger tires, traction on loose, wet, or sandy terrain is better than ever. And you get all the storage and handling versatility of our Boundary platform, making it a fantastic choice for the race or weekend backpacking excursion. Ready to go even further out of bounds? The Boundary MLT is for you!

What should I do if I am between on two sizes?

If you can achieve your required seat height with both bikes sizes, then you can pick based on your riding preference or style. The smaller frame will be more nimble while the larger bike may feel higher and faster. LiveChat with us or email us for help finding the right size.

How do I mount accessories onto my Obed?

Our Baseline and Boundary models have various mounting points for a multitude of accessories available on the market.

For nutrition and hydration, our water bottle and top tube storage mounts can be used with most 2-hole accessories designed for M5 x 0.8mm mounts spaced 65mm apart. The screws provided with the frame are 10mm long and should be replaced with longer screws should your accessory mounting bracket be more than 3mm thick.

At the rear of the bike, we have provided fender and light rack mounting points.  Unlike many metal bikes which may have open ended mounting points, our carbon fiber frames have closed end mounting points.  This requires special attention to the length of screw when mounting racks and fenders with various thickness attachments.  Should the accessory mounting point be more than 2mm thick, source screws that are 10-13mm longer than the thickness of the item you’re attaching.

For fork mounted accessories, the same rules apply as mounting to our seatstays and dropouts.

We recommend a 20lb load weight limit.
